Leader Limitations
What limitations are holding you back from being all you could be as a leader. Why are you not able to do more?
Will you reach your full potential as a leader? Most fail to accomplish their dreams, but do not have to fail. Think with me for a few minutes.
Leaders fail to lead because they fear failure. They fear being mocked or criticized. Few will risk, but many are eager to ridicule.
Others fail simply because they do not want to leave their comfort zone. Leaders must constantly stretch themselves. If you step into the unknown, trusting God to be there, there is so much out there.
Leaders have to learn to think and to think differently. Everyone knows what you can or can’t do till somebody does it, anyway. Listen, but don’t listen. Hear God and His Word above the roar of the crowd.
Know that leadership is not about trying to rise above everyone but about giving your life to serve as many as possible. If you desire to help hurting people and will get down in the dirt, you will have little competition.
Leadership is not about being famous, clapped for, and appreciated. Biblical leadership is about serving.
Change is leadership. You will have to embrace change, different. Life is about change. Every time we learn something new, we change. Growth is change. So, you must grow constantly.
Leadership is dirty, not clean. If you want everything to be just right, you will not lead. Having everything right will stop you from stepping out. If you wait till it is perfect, you will be too late to make a difference. Step out and do the work now.
Know that many people will not approve. They will try to discourage you and set expectations for you. They will limit you because your stepping out leaves them behind, or at least that is what they think.
Stop talking yourself out of living your dream. We are our own worst enemy. Sometimes, no one hates us as much as we do.
Dream and dream. Don’t see things as they are but as they could be. See what could happen if you simply stepped out.
Leadership is about getting others involved. You will have to trust others. If they aren’t strong enough to hurt you, then they will not be strong enough to help. Leadership is always risky.
So face your fear, embrace change, think, listen, but don’t listen, and step out to do what you were meant to do.
