God's Continual Blessings: Recognizing Divine Favor in Your Daily Life
Experiencing God's Smile Upon You
I want you to see all God is doing continually in your life. We have examined God’s blessings on His people for the last three days. Meditate on the following and consider how God does the same in your life.
Job enjoyed that protection, and Satan knew it. God was blessing and protecting Job.
And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? 10 Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. Job 1:8-10
We enjoy the same promises today. God is doing for us what He did for Job.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil. II Thessalonians 3:3
He keeps us saved
Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, 25 to the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen. Jude 24
His power keeps us.
Who are kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. I Peter 1:5
God smiles at His people
The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: Numbers 6:25
When He looks at us, it is with love. He smiles, and His face gleams with delight when He looks at His children. Do you remember how Moses’s face shone after being in the presence of God? That is what He has for us now.
He is for us
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? 32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? 33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God’s elect? It is God that justifieth. 34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us. 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:31 -39
He is gracious to us. Remember that we do not deserve any of His love. We walked away from Him. We each went our way. He came to us. He paid the price for our sin and rebellion.
Every good thing that happens to us is because He is good.
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. II Corinthians 12:9-10
The Lord is looking at you
The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. Numbers 6:26
He sings and feels joy over us.
The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; He will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; He will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing. Zephaniah 3:17
He gives us a peace that the world can’t understand
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
Peace here refers to quietness in our hearts, spiritual health, prosperity, and enough to meet all the demands of life. He notices you; you are important to Him. He is looking to give you peace and all you need
We are His, and He blesses us.
And they shall put my name upon the children of Israel, and I will bless them. Numbers 6:27
He restores our dignity. He saved me from a terrible fate. I was suffering from the consequences of my stupidity with no reason to hope for better, but He saved me. He made me a new creature. He gives us a new identity. I am His now. I belong to Him.
I am a child of the king. He gives us security and intimacy. I know i am cherished and valued.
In Him, I am secure because it is He that wants to bless me.
The good that is happening didn’t come because of me, but because of Him. He loves me, looks at me, and names me because He loves me.
He is going to bless me. God has blessed me. He continues to bless me.
I can go forward knowing that the great God of creation loves me and works in my life for good.
