From Victim to Victor: Taking Charge of Your Life
Reclaim Your Life: How to Overcome Obstacles and Thrive
It’s time to stop the blame game, quit being a victim, stop feeling powerless, and start changing your life today.
Get off the social media that feeds your need for hurt. Avoid the constant complaining of others and stop it in your life. Stop seeking sympathy or validation from others about how badly you have been treated.
There is no need to cancel or destroy others to feel better about yourself. It is time to take responsibility simply for your own life. You can act. Overcoming the circumstances, the trauma, and the tragedy is possible. You do not have to be defined by them.
No more blaming your boss, work, coworkers, or parents. Just look in the mirror and realize you cause yourself more trouble than anyone else.
Earn the promotion, the raise, and the applause instead of whining about not getting what you want. Instead of thinking you have to beat others or be beaten, stop comparing yourself with them and competing with them.
Stop manipulating and letting social media and your friends manipulate you. There is no excuse for bad behavior. You have no right to strike out at others. You are responsible for yourself.
Change the way you think. Look for all the great and wonderful things that have happened in your life. Look for growth opportunities. Stretch yourself.
Stop thinking about what is unfair. Stop letting yourself feel like a victim. You are a victory; you can and will win in this, too.
Find a solution instead of wallowing in self-pity. Don’t blame your genetics, your parents, your school, or anything or anyone else. Instead, stand up and find what you can do to dig your way out of the pit you are in.
Consider how a young rail-splitter would work all day and read law books by night. That same man would leave manual labor, become a lawyer, fail time after time, and yet become one of the greatest presidents of all time, at least in our country.
Don’t exaggerate your minor inconveniences. Consider that you live better than over 90% of the world.
Your poor health has more to do with your diet and exercise than your genetics. Be responsible. Make decisions that improve your life.
Don’t blame the system or your parents. Don’t blame anyone because blame becomes a crutch that helps you stay a cripple all your life.
Be willing to take responsibility for your own life. You can grow out of this, and you can win.
