Are you more concerned about the well-being of your friend or primarily worried about your interests?
Are you genuinely supporting and caring for your friend, or do you pretend to have empathy?
Do you listen and provide support or only pretend to do so unless it is to both of your advantages?
Do you offer help willingly and genuinely, or only when it benefits you?
Do you value time spent with your friend or only when it serves your purpose?
Are you there for your friends when needed, or do you expect them to be there for you?
Do you value friendship for its own sake, or is it transactional?
Do you cultivate a reciprocal relationship or prioritize your needs over theirs?
Are you authentic and genuine in your interactions, or do you use charm and deception to achieve your objectives?
Do you encourage your friend’s personal growth and success or feel threatened by their progress and try to hinder it?
Your Giving Through Alignment Ministries
Thank you so much for giving. One of the projects you support helps a preacher in the Ukraine. I believe you will enjoy this letter.
Hello Our Friends and Partners in Ministry,
We are thankful for your prayers and your financial support. I want to share with you a little about the circumstances in which we now live and work. Since the beginning of the year, Russian troops have not stopped firing at us with missiles and drones. Every night and very often during the day, sirens sound warnings of danger. Our enemies are methodically trying to destroy the energy infrastructure in our country to deprive us of electricity and gas. Thank you for your prayers for us. God has protected us so far, and we trust that He will protect us in the future.
One of my responsibilities in ministry is visiting churches and equipping brothers and sisters to serve the Jewish people. My heart is very sad that now we are forced to concentrate our ministry only in our city, although, from time to time, we manage to visit the capital Kyiv. Traveling around the country at this time is difficult and dangerous. However, we continue to pray that God will help us overcome these difficulties and resume this part of our ministry.
We continue to serve displaced people in our city. Thanks to your help, we can provide them with food and at the same time preach Jesus Christ to the 80-100 people who come to those meetings. God gives us the joy of seeing some of them turn to Christ. Here is the story of one family. They are older people who have lived their entire lives together. They were forced to leave their destroyed home, so they ended up in our city and attended a meeting that we organized for refugees. After we talked with them, they agreed to attend church. Recently, the wife turned to Christ. She is Jewish, but her husband is not. We pray that her husband will also trust Christ as his Savior.
Jewish holidays are still good reasons to invite Jewish people to church. This spring, we celebrated the joyful holiday of Purim. It was a good time with friends where we enjoyed each other's company and took a break from the hardships of war.
Jewish holidays are a very good occasions to share with your Jewish friends about Jesus Christ. In previous letters, I talked about the project: “Evangelism through Creativity.” It continues to be a good opportunity to witness to displaced families about the Savior.
Prayer Requests:
That God will protect us from enemy shelling.
That God opens up new opportunities to serve in times of war.
That God would protect me from the draft so that I do
With love in Christ,
Vladimir and Irina Akimov
Praise God indeed
You are a blessing
